Lesson Description:
In this lesson, we will be using our prior knowledge of multiplication patterns to learn about the area of
shapes. We will be using pattern blocks to understand area and compare the sizes of different shapes.
Instructions:
We will begin our lesson with a fluency warm-up first. We will then move into the application problem,
learn the concept, practice some problem sets, and complete an exit ticket at the end to check for our
understanding. The step by step instructions for each section of the lesson are listed below.
