ASSURANCE OF SALVATION!

Let us settle this issue once and for all!

Of late I have been bothered by nightmares. Although I know I am saved

and have the assurance of the Word, I don't know why. I would dream
that I am about to die and would go to hell. The thought of the prospect
of eternal suffering without hope made me shudder in fear!

To settle this issue once and for all,

I confess that I am a sinner. I am lost. I cannot save myself. I have

nothing to offer to pay for my sins. I am sorry for my sins. I repent of
them. I ask God for forgiveness. I ask God for His mercy! Father, I
confess that I am a sinner. And I am lost and on the way to hell! I am
sorry for my sins. I repent of them. Forgive me. Have mercy on me!

I now receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord of my life. I

surrender myself to Jesus Christ. I invite Jesus Christ to come into my life.
Jesus Come into my life. Live in me. Change me. Make me the kind of
person you want me to be! I surrender my life to you! Help me to do your
will in my life!

I also forgive my fellowmen. Because like me they also do not know. That
is why Jesus Christ made a plea to His Father: Father forgive them they
do not know what they are doing. Even if they claim that they know they
really do not know. Because if they know they will not do what they are
doing.

We know so little about God, no matter how we claim that we know. No

matter what knowledge and learning we have accumulated, we know so
little about God. If we know we will be very different. Our priorities and
values will be different. The fact that we do what we are doing tells that
we don't know God!

After I made this prayer and confession, things may change, my

circumstance will change. I may forget. And I will do things I am not
supposed to do. I may do things not pleasing to you. I will do my will not
yours. Circumstances may compel me to resort to things I promise to
avoid and refrain from doing.

I will sin and do things that will offend you, will make you angry. So
before that happens, I want to declare that it is not my heart's desire. I
do not want to sin against you. I want to always please you, to do your
will, that your will always prevail. Not my will but yours be done. It is a
different person not I! It is not really my desire. It is not what I want!

It is because of my weaknesses that I become powerless. That I do what I

know is wrong and displease you, and I will continue doing to provoke
your chastisement. But I cannot help it but really that is not what I want.
It is not my intention. I declare this before those situation comes.

I may even question my salvation and doubt your promises. I just pray
that You have mercy on me and pursue me wherever I may be gone
astray! Do not consider what I truly deserve but consider that I need Your
help and You are the only one who can save me. If You abandon me no
one can help me. You are the only one who can remove the blindness in
my eyes and make me aware of the danger I am in and turn back and
return you as your prodigal son!

I want to settle this issue of my salvation once and for all not because of
anything I can boast of. But I rely on your love and mercy! I can now have
peace conscious that whatever may happen I am saved and will be with
You and your Son, forever!

I thank You Father for sending your Son, Jesus Christ to save me. For You
sent your Son to be the Savior of the world. And I thank Jesus Christ for
dying to save me! Amen!

All these I pray in Jesus name!
