persona (llamadas BAN y PAN).
Abstract: The wireless technologies and networks will account a central role in the applications of e-health in
the coming years. The exchange of biomedical data and associated information, has experienced a significant
increase supported the development of these technologies. There is a growing number of technology projects
using mobile devices and wireless communications; and between different types of application, highlights on
the e-Health or m-Health. For specialists in the area of networks, an increasingly emerging area of great interest
and encompasses wearable networks, with personal area networks (PAN) and Body Area Networks (BAN).
Research and developed, are intended to show that a field of increasing development represent the new medical
technologies and devices based on wireless sensors; which is already a market niche and innovation that opens
new horizons to provide better services and healthy conditions for a large number of people. Valparaiso
University, through the School of Biomedical Engineering, began developing a research for the design and
manufacture of a device that monitors and biomedical signal that is interoperable by IEEE standards.
