Vipul Dwivedi

Vipul Dwivedi began his musical journey four years ago with Piano and Music Theory. The
journey has been full of contrasts and yet incredible from being a Post Graduate in Mechanical
Engineering and an Assistant Professor, to completely switching and involving himself in Piano
Pedagogy.

Today he is opening the evening with Remote Xianggelila which is a calming Chinese melody. It
might sound simple but is full of difficult syncopated patterns with a varied dynamic range.

The other piece Prestissimo by Beethoven is in complete contrast with the first one, having
uncertainty and modulation at its centre.

Pritasha Grewal

Pritasha's musical journey started as a nine year old at Theme where she was introduced to a
wide range of compositions belonging to different musical eras. This led her to not only
complete Grade 8 through Trinity College London under the guidance of Mrs Mata but also to
teach piano. Later, she trained Ms Sreejoya and now she continues her learning with Ms Aching

Her first piece is Toccata in e minor by JS Bach which has a developing compositional style
comprising of counterpoint and complexity of German toccatas combined with flamboyance of
Italian toccatas.

Her second piece, Minuet from The Suite Bergamasque by Debussy has a dance like structure
which had a mysterious and dramatic middle section.

Amit Bohat

Amit started his musical journey at KM Music Chennai (2009-13). Although wanting to be a
vocalist at first he decided to choose piano as his main instrument. He joined Theme in 2013
alongside taking lessons from Ms Aching and it has been a delightful experience so far.

He is furthering this evening by playing Prelude in d minor by Bach.

Ravina

Ravina started her journey as a four year old trying to play songs by ear on a keyboard. Piano
entered her life when her father would read books and explain her what staff notation meant and
then help her play the songs till they were successful in finding Piano lessons in Delhi and later
exams based on the same. She went on to complete her Grade 8 in Piano through Trinity
College London. She is now the Piano Faculty and the Technical Head at Theme, Delhi.
While her piece Traumerei might sound like a beautiful distant dream, the tricky part lies in its
complicated layers of voicing and dynamic range.

Romance in e minor on the other hand has been one of the challenging pieces of her life as she
was always told not to do it because it’s too difficult but she took it head on and here she is
performing the same.
