Un sistema de alimentación de combustible para motores

Diesel se divide en dos sub-sistemas importantes:
1. SISTEMA DE COMBUSTIBLE: Su función es suministrar
el combustible necesario, libre de impurezas y
humedad al sistema de Inyección.
2. SISTEMA DE INYECCIÓN: Su función es suministrar
el combustible dosificado, pulverizado,en forma
sincronizada a una presión adecuada a los
requerimientos del motor.

Los motores Diesel convencionales emplean dos tipos de sistemas

de alimentación de combustible con bomba de inyección.

1. BOMBA DE INYECCIÓN LINEAL MULTICILINDRICA: Este sistema se

caracteriza porque la bomba posee su propio eje de levas
de accionamiento.
1. BOMBAS DE INYECCIÓN LINEAL INDIVIDUAL O UNITARIA: Este
sistema se caracteriza por que a un costado del motor de ubican una
bomba de inyección unitaria para cada uno de los cilindros y son
accionadas por el eje de levas del motor.

FUNCIONES DEL REGULADOR:

1. Controlar la dosificación combustible.

2. Controlar la velocidad máxima de giro del eje
cigüeñal del motor.
3. Controlar el régimen de ralentí.

FUNCIONES DEL INYECTOR:

1. Dar la presión al combustible.

2. Pulverizar el combustible suministrado a la cámara
de combustión.
3. Distribuir el combustible en el interior de la cámara
de combustión del motor.
