About the Course


This is one of the most popular courses conducted by PIQC. It is highly rated by the organizations for its value and
effectiveness. The course follows the basic steps in preparation and execution of quality management systems audits,
including audit planning, execution and reporting. Participants learn the auditing procedures using the ISO 9001:2008
standard. Interactive exercises, including role-plays and examination of real world case studies provide an opportunity
to the participants to improve their audits and understanding on QMS Implementation. Successful participants will be
awarded (IRCA-UK Approved) certification from IQCS certification Singapore.
ISO 9001:2008 is not a standard for any product or service but a generic standard of Quality Assurance or Quality
Management System of organizations working in manufacturing, services, government or academic sectors. Almost all
the government departments and ministries of Government of Malaysia have adopted this standard as it helps
organizations to establish a foundation of standardization, organizational quality and performance measuring and
control systems, process control measures, inspection and testing systems, internal quality audit systems, customer
satisfaction measuring system, complaint handling system, problem rectifications from the systems of organizations and
establish a process of continual performance improvement.

What is ISO 9000


ISO 9000 is a series of Quality Management System Standards used by all types of organizations for controlling and assuring
the Quality of its products or services. It can also be used to strengthen organizational systems and getting certification by
third party as well.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
1. Deeply understand the fundamental concepts of Quality Assurance and Management.
2. Understand the state of Quality and ISO 9000 in Pakistan.
3. Understand why a large number of companies have not effectively implemented ISO 9000.
4. Understand each requirement of ISO 9000 in its true sense and spirit
5. Understand and practice how to conduct 1st, 2nd and 3rd party QMS Audits
6. Understand how to take full benefits of ISO 9000 through effective QMS audits
7. Understand detailed procedures, strategies and methods of QMS audits

Duration
This is a 5 days course followed by an examination by IRCA (UK). Successful candidates will be awarded with a certificate by
IQCS Certification Singapore.

Course Pre-Requisite
Students are expected to have prior knowledge of the following Quality Management Principles and concepts:
1. The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.
2. The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction.
3. Commonly used quality management terms and definitions and the 8-Quality Principles as given in ISO 9000.
4. The process approach used in quality management.
5. The Model of a Process Based Quality Management System, the structure and content of ISO 9001.
Students are also required to have knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001, which may be gained by completing an
IRCA certified QMS Foundation Training Course, work experience, reading or equivalent.
