1. PURPOSE
This document describes the customer alarms implementation, details of the connections and
testing procedures to be followed during acceptance tests with Subcontractos Company and with
the Customer.
2. ALARMS DEFINITIONS
The Ultrasite system provides 24 external alarms inputs. These inputs are located in the two
EAC ports in the top of the cabinet. All alarms are configured as Normally Closed, and are
defined in the BSC. It is also important that these alarms are defined during the Commissioning.
All alarms defined in the BSC have an assigned message and priority as following:
3. OUTDOOR IMPLEMENTATION
In this case SSC alarms correspond to ExtraTalk alarms. The four outputs from the alarm box
concentrate different alarms according to the next list:
Door Alarm
Low Temperature Warning
High Temperature Warning
Urgent Alarm Support 2 Door Alarm
Support 2 Low Temp
Support 2 High Temp
Smoke Alarm
Support 2 Smoke Alarm
Low Battery Warning
Non Urgent Alarm ACU Fault Unit 1
ACU Fault Unit 2
Rectifier Fail Charging Failure
AC Failure Phase 1
AC Failure Phase 1-3 AC Failure Phase 2
AC Failure Phase 3
Notice that this alarm box will concentrate the second cabinet alarms as well.

•Alarms are connected to the BTS using the D37 Alarm Block (CS73208.40) and Alarm Box (CS71919.17)
•8 Alarms connected
•1 EAC Port used in Ultrasite
•Priorities and Alarm messages are defined on BSC
The SSU’s alarms are sent to the BTS using the Alarm Box. This box is installed inside the ETII and
is connected to the EAC port 1, using the D37 Alarm Block.
The D37 Alarm Block provides an easy point of connection in the BTS also, for Generator and
Obstruction light alarms.

NOTE: In order to complete the connections between EAC prots and External devices contacts,
jumper cables should be installed. These jumpers connect positions of Terminal Block 1 to 3 and
Terminal Block 2 to 4.
The Alarm cable used for connection to the DDF is the following:
Indoor sites required the use of the COBOMO Card in the EMPower. This card is already
installed inside the EMPower and is connected as follows:
5. GENERAL IMPLEMENTATION
For this purpose, we use two new devices, a current sensor and a relay. The current sensor
provides the normal working of the lights signal, and the relay enables this signal when the
photocell provides energy to the bulbs.

The Air Condition sensor consists in a Differential Pressure Sensor connected serially with a
Thermostat. The temperature in the thermostat is 5 degrees higher than the set point of the Air
Conditioning system. The Pressure sensor will detect the air flowing and this will give a signal
that should be CLOSED when the temperature is higher than the set point of the system.
An enviroment temp thermostat is used and connected in parallel as is shown in the next
diagram.
The pressure sensor is used to test the fan air flowing job. The sensor will compare the pressure
difference between the fan output and the environment, this will give us a Normally Closed
contact when the fan is working. The environment temperature thermostat is used to test
whenever the Fan should be working. As we know, some of the ACU are set in Automatic Fan
Activation or simply ON
The thermostat gives a NC contact when the temperature is lower than the setting to avoid a
wrong alarm activation. 25C is the setting for this thermostat. The output of this alarm is the
correct fan working, that in addition with our high temperature sensor, can give us a good
supervision of the environment in the site.

6. TESTING ALARMS
All alarms can be tested with the site off-air, using the option Supervision > EAC
Status, checking the corresponding contact’s state.
