Sometimes called "Django's Waltz," or "MSG," for short.


It's attributed to Django Reinhardt, although there aren't any recordings of him playing it. As is often the case with pieces that are part of a folk
tradition, there are many different variations.
I added some of harmonic devices that I heard my friend guitarist Alex Siniavski use, like the 'cycle of four' progression that starts on Ami
near the end of the main theme or 'A' section. [Same goes for the bass break at the midpoint of the 1st section]. I simplified the 'B' section, by
cleaning up the triplet arpeggios a bit. [The 'B' section is more difficult that the fairly easy minor theme, which everybody seems to play their
own way]. The rhythm guitar plays the usual root, chord, chord, 1/4 note valse pattern, with alternate bass.
