Introduction:

In today’s world where cyberspace and being tech-savvy is a must in order to be part of

the global competitiveness, the traditional or the conventional ways of teaching have

been quite doubtable on how it can be truly useful or somehow helpful to students of its

range. The researchers aim to fully understand the different techniques used by the Saint

Frances of Assisi College- Taguig Campus, Grade 12 Instructors, to how can they hone or

improve their students’ academic competencies that could help them be part of the

globally competitive world of today’s generation. They would like to expound more on

the different, unique, and exciting teaching methods, either be audio or visual techniques,

and how these ways can be an effective tools to make their students engage in the mere

class discussions and such individual or group activities, that could potentially be utilized

as they step outside their school premises and facilities. As everybody knows, effective

practical teaching techniques can make or break student’s academic competencies and

even individual capabilities. However, what makes these methods of creative minds an

effective tool to actually bring out the best, or the full potential of thy learners? This

research study conducted foresee a much valuable ideas and recognition to educators who

give time and effort to at least give in and fully push their learners into different aspects,

may it be in subject matters, or real-life experiences that they will surely encounter in the

future.

The fundamental importance of teaching strategies is to make it easier to implement a

variety of teaching methods where students can easily understand or easily absorbed

everything that must be learned. It helps the learners to understand much effectively and

be able to develop skills and practical attitudes through achievable goals in the future.
Every teacher develops a particular way of giving the complex tasks of teaching the

particular lesson. There are many successful and known educators who are using different

methods and approaches around the world, whether it could be prominent or unique type.

Many of the most known witty and creative teachers do not confine themselves to a

single method, rather, they synthesize from a variety of it, meaning, they are sharpening

their minds to produce much effective and entertaining ways to teach and make learning

an enjoyable task. Teaching methods and the need for more balanced use of different

equipment are actually based on how students would participate and include themselves

in the activity given. Tools needed to achieve desired results, aren’t only based on the

given gears but mostly to how can one observe the attitudes of the participating students

or audiences to how they will react and act to the given task that they need to do. One of

the importance of this study is actually to shape a much appreciative recognition from

students, and teachers also who are the main subject of teaching methods. Both teachers

and students are the people or those who contribute to a successful learning process that

includes an enjoyable and unique teaching techniques or methods being used. Teaching

methods are beneficial to both part, first, students to make them participate even better

and to engage themselves in the topic much effectively. Second, teachers, in a way that

they can enhance their skills of creativity to make their students participate in a specific

lesson or discussion they are having.

The reasons why the researches want this topic to expound and learn more, is because

they want to know and point out how does the teacher impacts or affects his students.

Usually, there are many students who are actually lazy in a specific subject only, but

opposite to some. How can this happen? It probably because of the lacking interest one
has in a certain subject, thus, the ineffectiveness of the teaching methods that the teacher

has been utilizing inside the four-corner classroom. Researchers aim to find solutions,

with the best of their capability, to bring answers to questions and improvements to some

about teaching ways, because these teaching ways could be a great part of how students

performs inside the classroom. The stigma of a “lazy” and “disobedient” students are aim

to eradicate in this study, to promote a much industrious generation of today’s world in

terms of the education aspect. Also, one of the reasons of the researchers on why do they

thought of expounding their knowledge into this topic is they want to be much aware as

well, as a mere researchers on how simple yet effective techniques could impact or at

least influence others in shaping the way they think or even the way they act.

The purpose of this study focuses on the awareness on the teaching methods used by

the Grade 12 Instructors of Saint Francis of Assisi College- Taguig Campus, and how

these methods can potentially help and hone a student’s global competitiveness. One of

the researchers’ goals in this research is also to understand the psychological reasons of

conducting these methods to how students positively perceive and learned through these.

They would also like to know the purpose of the subject teachers and how creative could

they be throughout the learning process. Another factor of the goals of this research

conducted is to see the improvement of one’s skills in terms of practical and real-life

situations, which is the main purpose of the current academic curriculum. In addition, this

study also would like to examine the students’ insights about the creative and exciting

techniques that are being used in the classroom. The researches want to know how and

why do students join or actively participate on these activities, their personal objectives,

whether it could be, mere learning or just the simple or extrinsic rewards that they could
get from it and their say if these truly help or improve them, not just as a student, but as

an overall individual. The researchers’ goal is to examine how students of thy range,

utilized and used all of the learnings they gathered from their respective teachers. And the

teacher’s unique, creative, and enjoyable teaching methods and techniques that were used

in the learning process happened. Lastly, they would like to know if teaching strategies or

teaching methods are really a way of making students learn effectively and easily.
