Cellular telecommunications technology is growing very rapidly. This can
be seen from the increasing number of users and requires operators to provide access services to the maximum with a wide range, not only for mobile phones but also devices. Based on this case, the latest telecommunications technology is present by supporting the Internet of Things device, the Narrow band Internet of Things (NB-IoT). In 2016 3GPP issued a standard for NB-IoT, technology that is able to provide IoT device services, with wide coverage, low data rate of 50 kpbs, and small power usage of 35 dB. In this thesis case using frequency 900 MHz . NB- IoT has an In-Band model scheme with bandwidth 10 MHz and Guard-Band model scheme with bandwidth 200 kHz. The parameters analyzed in this thesis are the capacity performance simulation based on user connected, obtained the number of connected users are 102,942 device users in the In-Band scheme. Meanwhile, for users connected in Guard-Band scheme, there are 98,873 device users. The SINR value coverage performance is obtained 4.18 dB In-Band scheme and the 2.78 dB in Guard-Band scheme. From the performance simulation results obtained, the In-Band is the best scheme for DKI Jakarta.
