Abstract

This study explored the effects of MOBA games to the interpersonal skills of a senior

high school student. Participants are 45 students from Grade 11 and 12 from HUMSS and GAS

tracks. The participants are given survey questionnaire that answers the effects of MOBA games

to their interpersonal skills. Results show that: a.) Ages from 17 - 18 years old are more

engaged in playing MOBA games, b.) Both Grade 11 and 12 students of LPCSHS - Manuyo

Campus plays MOBA games 3-4 times a week, c.) Most of the students have developed

competitive skills in playing MOBA games, d.) The reasons for playing MOBA games according

to the participants: 30% of the participants answered “entertainment”; 24% is for “relaxation”;

and, 23% said for “past time”, and e.) The major effects of playing MOBA games as perceived

by the participants are: 21% said that lack of sleep; 16% answered it improves their knowledge

and skills in technology; and, 15% is gaming addiction.
