What are the techniques the Writes use for writing the world?
1. Title - (what, who and where) – Introduces the main character or event in the story
Ex: FROZEN PLANET - Antarctica
2. Tagline - Tells us about the setting of the story
Ex - World beyond imagination
3. Blurb – Makes the story sound exciting and dramatic
Grammar:
1. Noun: naming word of PPT – place people or things – Events and animals
2. Head Noun: Head noun is the main noun. Ex: Beauty
3. Noun Phrase: Adding words and phrases that add more specific information. EX. The
sheer beauty of Antarctica
4. Tense – Present, Past and Future: Verbs come in three tenses: past, present, and future.
The past is used to describe things that have already happened (e.g., earlier in the
day, yesterday, last week, three years ago).
The present tense is used to describe things that are happening right now, or things
that are continuous.
The future tense describes things that have yet to happen (e.g., later, tomorrow, next
week, next year, three years from now).

Language Devices:
1. Simile: A simile is where two things are directly compared because they share a common
feature. The word AS or LIKE is used to compare the two words. E.g. As cold AS a dog's
nose
2. Metaphor: A metaphor also compares two things, but it does so more directly
WITHOUT using as or like. E.g. The shop was a little gold-mine.
