Course Description:
This course is designed to equip students with knowledge in basic concepts on
computer, Windows desktop, keyboarding techniques, as well as MS Office
application software such MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. It also gives
emphasis on enhancing the student’s skills on Windows desktop, keyboarding,
Office Productivity Tools (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) operations.
The course also provides an introduction of Networking.

Course Outcomes (CO):

On the completion of the course, student is expected to be able to do the following:

CO3 Enhance consistency and creativity though working with text designing a
document, drawing and graphics in MS Word, working in a worksheet, using
formulas and functions in MS Excel, and making dynamic slide
presentations in MS PowerPoint, and learn the basic networking the
importance of computer in the society and their chosen career.

Methods of Evaluation: Students will be evaluated according to the following:
05 Examinations (Check-Up Examination, Preliminary Examination, Mid-Term Examination,
Semi-Final Examination, and Final Examination);

The final course grade will be computed according to the following formula:
1. Eighty percent (80%) attendance of better,
2. Seventy five percent (75%) general average based on the grading system as follows:
a. Prelim Grade = (5%)(Assignment) + (10%)(Recitation) + (50%)(Quizzes) + (35%)[(Check-Up
Exam + Prelim Exam)/2]
b. Midterm Grade = [(Prelim Grade) + (TMG)]/2; Where: TMG = (5%)(Assignment) +
