Doctor

Growing up I always wanted to be a doctor. I knew the basic things about being a doctor

but with this research paper it has helped me find more and important things about being a doctor

and if I really like it or not. I learned about the advantages and what I need to prepare for. It has

also given me the disadvantages that I need to prepare for. That doctors are more likely to deal

with depression. This is huge and it’s really good to know.

Doctors work forty to sixty hours every week and almost twenty one percent reporting

sixty one to eighty hours each week (Shannon Aymes). Doctors work in an awful amount of time

and still get paid the same. This can help us identify the advantage and disadvantage and whether

it works with the type of job we were looking for.

Ninety two percent doctors aged thirty five or younger felt that work-life balance was

important (Shannon Aymes). There are a lot of doctors that are around the age of thirties. Some

people like me thought that studying to be a doctor will take forever, that we will be sixty by the

time we can become doctors.

There is an increase of female doctors in the United States (Shannon Aymes). Here in the

United States there are a lot of women that are doctors and more to come. This can help spread

the message to men that want to be doctors that there aren’t that many of them out in the doctors

field. This can give them an estimate of how it looks out in the field for male doctors.

​Nurses' and doctors' work as a medical team in the hospital to have an important impact

on patients' outcomes. Doctors and nurses really care for their patients and is willing to do

anything for what their patients are going through. To know that they really care for us make us

trust our doctors and respect their opinions about healthy things they are trying to help us with.

D​octor's starts with being stressed ​(Magdon-Ismail)​. Doctors go through stress too like

everybody else but the amount of stress is pretty high. I know that being a doctor is what I want

but this can help everybody else to open their eyes and realizes that it will not be easy. This gives

us a heads up that we need to be prepared and know how to cope with stresses.

​The nurse will need to remind the doctor for failure to show up and recall him back to

action ​(Magdon-Ismail)​. This means that the nurse will remind the doctor if appointment did not

occur. This is important because it shows how serious doctor are about their job.

Primary goal is to improve the educational steps for doctors (​Crist Carolyn 1)​. This means

they will improve education for the doctors so they can be better and more prepare. This is

important because it shows how they want to train doctors right and prepare them for the real

world.

When people turn sixty five, they have at least one chronic medical condition (​Crist

Carolyn ​1). This means that mostly at the age of sixty five is when patients need more care. This

is important to know so they could care for their patients more especially in an old age.

With an aging population that faces cancer and heart disease, we’ll see a oncologists and

cardiologists (​Crist Carolyn ​1). Medicine is a business. This means that people that are exposed

to these things they do need medicine. It is important to know so that others will help people that

are stubborn to go to the hospital for medical need.

Male doctors had significantly more depression than female doctors ​(Ola, Manpreet ​3).

This means that male doctors are more likely to deal with a lot of depression than female doctors

do. This is important so it can give a heads up for the male doctors and what they might face in

the future.

Purposive sample consisted of sixty doctors( thirty males and thirty females who filled

the informed consent form to participate in the study ​(Ola, Manpreet ​2). This means that female

and male doctors are equal in the field. This is important to know so there won't be any tension

amongst those two.

Their age between these two groups was not significant, female range was thirty to sixty

years ​(Ola, Manpreet ​2). This means that female doctors are from the age of thirty to sixty. This

is important so it will let others that are becoming to be a doctor know that they are not old to be

a doctor.

Some symptoms of stress may be that you're tired all the time, you're unable to sleep

(Rossbund, Krissa​)​. This means that doctors are stress from the lack of sleeping. This is

important to know so we can prepare for those moments and know that it will happen.

Integrate some stress management as part of your treatment ​(Rossbund, Krissa​)​. This

means that there is treatment for doctors stress. This is important to know so that they know

where to ge5t help and also to know that there is help.

If you suffer from stress-related illnesses, look at the way you're treating your body

(Rossbund, Krissa​)​. This means the doctors stress can also come from the way you treat your

body. This means to all doctors or becoming to be a doctor, BEWARE.

Ninety six percent of those people survived their stay ​(Weick, Karl E ​1). This means that

most of the doctors will make it through stressful times and some will not make it. This is

important to know so doctors will see on the amount of doctors will give up and the ones that

will face it. This will help them be one of the ones that bush through stress.

​Soldier that are patients see and hear the same scenes they are watching indoors ​(Weick,

Karl E 1).​ This means that most of the soldiers that go to war and are injured will live life the

same way they always looked at it out in war. This is important to know so that we will know

how to deal with these people.

These are the words of surgeons at the fifty bed Camp Bastion hospital near Helmand

(Weick, Karl E 1).​ A lot more things goes on in the hospitals for soldiers from war and doctors

should be prepared at all times. By know these things it will help others look for being a doctor

for the soldiers and to know how hard it can be.

Doctors potential for positive improvements based on patient feedback (​Farrington,

Conor 2). Doctors do know how important it is to stay positive with their patients. Staying

positive with their patients lead to improvements health wise and their mindsets. This makes

patients feel better about themselves and know that someone really cares for them.

Doctors and patient relationship, doctors need to listen to patients feedbacks (​Farrington,

Conor 4). Doctors do take their time to listen to their patients. This makes a connection with the

doctor and their patients. It makes doctors job easy to understand whats going on with their

patients and it can lead to better and faster recovery.

Doctors say if you’re giving out bad news to your patient and not telling your patient

what they want to hear, then they perceive that as poor communication (​Farrington, Conor 4).

Patients don’t want to hear negative things from doctors because we all dont love to hear

negative thoughts from anybody. That leads us to think that they are not doing their job but

honestly are we doing our job in taking care of ourselves. This gives us a warning to be a lot

nicer with patients because it can nasty at times.

Depending on the type of cardiology one practices, cardiologists earn ​$418,000​ to over

$537,000​ annually (​Santiago, Andrea)​. That's how much you get paid from working in that type

of doctor. This helps with planning and estimating for our future. It also help with choosing what

type of doctor we want to be and to figure out if it goes with our future plans.

Radiologists use medical imaging and sometimes treat, medical conditions, disorders, and

illnesses. General, diagnostic radiologists earn over ​$473,000​ annually (​Santiago, Andrea).

That's how much you get paid from working in that type of doctor. It's important to know so that

you will calculate and know what you want and see if it fits your future plan and what we are

interested in and what we are not interested in.

Earn an average of ​$529,000​. Gastroenterology, like oncology and cardiology, is a

subspecialty of internal medicine (​Santiago, Andrea)​. That's how much you get paid from

working in that type of doctor. It helps to see which doctor is really good and has a good

payment. It also helps to see whether we like the payment.

In Conclusion, This research has been a very successful for me because I know more

about what I am trying to be for the future instead of knowing the basic things about being a

doctor. I feel like this has pushed me to look more into my future plans and be more prepared.

Being a doctor is not that easy. There are a lot of disadvantages that we all need to know to be

prepared for like high level of depression, stress and lack of family time. Always be prepared.
