Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) produced from Palm Oil Mill process of moisture content of 60%
to 65% can hardly suitable to be utilized for commercial purpose. We have introduce this Heavy Duty
Empty Fruit Bunch Press Model KH-777 to extract and remove the press juice from EFB or shred
EFB fibre to moisture content of 42% to 50%, so they can be used on raw materials for biomass
compost, boiler fuel and others. Besides, the press juice recovered contains a small percentage of
sludge oil which can be marketed on a byproduct.

3.7 Lubricant Grease and Lubricant Oil
Lubricant is a substance that reduces friction between moving parts, protecting the surfaces
against wear that composed of oil and additives. Lubricants are usually expected to reduce wear and
often to prevent overheating and corrosion. The basic types of Lubricant are divided into four (4)
classes which included Lubricant Oil, Lubricant Grease, Dry Lubricant and Lubricant Gasses.
Basically, Heavy Duty Empty Fruit Bunch Press Model KH-777 is using Lubricant Grease and
Lubricant Oil in the Bearing Housing and Gearbox which as the following:-

3.7.1 Gearbox

Type of Lubricant Grease = Multi-Purpose Grease (Recommended) or equivalent

Type of Lubricant Oil = Shell Omala 460 (Recommended) or equivalent

Quantity of Lubricant Oil = 84 Litre

= Check Lubricant Oil of Oil Plug every 48 running hours.

Check Lubricant Grease of Grease Nipple every 150

Special Feature in Bearing Housing

 Filling Lubricant into Oil Holder through Oil Inlet.

 Lubricant inside Oil Holder flows into Bearing Housing.

 About ¾of all 3 pieces bearing are covered with Lubricant to prolong their life span.

 Abrasive bearing and metal particles drop from (A) into Oil Holder and accumulated in
the lower portion of Oil Holder.

 The Lubricant inside Bearing Housing is not contaminated with abrasive bearing, water
and metal particles.

 The advantage of double protection.

 Drain out the Lubricant from Dain Outlet in every 10 month.
