New Delhi, the 20 February, 2015

No. DE-130-2014.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20 of the Dentists Act, 1948, the
Dental Council of India with the previous sanction of the Central Government, hereby makes the following
Amendments to the existing principal Dental ronnc.il of India (Miscellaneous) Regulations, 2007, published

in Part 111,Section 4 ofthe Gazette oflndia, Extraordinary, dated 29 June 2007:-

1. Short title and commencement:-

(i) These Regulations may be called the Dental Council of India (Miscellaneous)

(1 Amendment) Regulation, 2015.

(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Officiai Gazette.

2. In "Dental Couhcil of India (Miscellaneous) Regulation, 2007", the following inspection procedure,
shall be inserted at serial number 14:-

"14. Procedure of DC I Inspections

(i) The inspection should be strictly confidential.

(ii) The whole inspection necessarily be video-graphed and also be

viewed by the Executive Committee.

(iii) The Council inspectors/visitors must sign an undertaking with

regard to legal/criminal action against him/her if found indulge in
any kind of corrupt practices. .

(iv) If any false affidavit is submitted by any faculty, action would be

initiated for cancellation of his/her registration and legal/criminal
action may also be initiated.

(v) The dental colleges should normally be given one opportunity for
compliance in respect of their deficiencies.

(vi) Doctors from the Defence Services those are active teachers should
also be appointed as Council's Inspectors."
