Community Church

Spring 2019

Holy Week
Every year churches pause in their routines to
focus on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
For many, the period from Palm Sunday through
Resurrection Sunday is filled with various activities
to help them identify with His work on our behalf.
Once again we will offer a Good Friday service, as
well as the traditional Sunrise breakfast and Egg
Hunt for the children as part of our observances.
Great Bible studies and fellowship have been
going on all winter and into the Spring. The Sunday
AM adult class is crowding out their room / parents
are learning strategies for raising children / and
Wednesday PM groups are going strong. Your
church family invites you to add these small group
experiences to your regular routine.

Ebbs & Flows

FCC celebrates 31 years of ministry here in Michiana this spring and
it has been my privilege to have been here for almost half that time
as FCC’s longest-serving pastor. Over the decades of any church
family there are ebbs & flows / ups & downs during which time we
learn and carry one another through the seasons of life. Our fellow
believers ought to be so much more than people we see once a
week, they are the ones we turn to for comfort or to encourage / the
ones we laugh or cry with / the ones with whom we celebrate life’s
milestones and grieve through life’s sorrows. Throughout all of this,
God’s faithfulness is the constant. In times of change we need to rally
around one another, celebrating what has been and anticipating what
God will do with us next. Enjoying the journey with you all…
