Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: Students will log onto their device and enter in
the game code into the Kahoot app. They will then enter their name and as soon as the students have all
done this the teacher will begin the game. As the game goes on and students answer questions, the Kahoot
will display the top players from the game until the final winner is announced.

Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):

☒ Multiple choice ☐ Multiple select ☐ True/False ☐ Yes/No
☐ Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank ☐ Longer open-ended response

If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

☒ Yes ☐ No
☐ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☒ Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
I want students to be able to review after taking the Kahoot game so allowing them to see the correct answers
will refresh their memory if they did not get the correct answer.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
After the SRT activity, students will write down what they have learned and will group up and read to the
class the list they created.

How will the data be used? The data will be used to see where the students are in terms of remembering and
analyzing the text.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. My learning goal is to help students learn and review
the history of Africa to ensure that they have recalled important information from the text.

Reflective Practice: I feel that this could impact student learning in a positive way because it allows for
students, especially at this age, to become engaged in a competitive and fun game all while reviewing
important aspects of the text. In reflection, I think I would have more questions to do with specific areas
in Africa instead of the entire continent. That way I can ensure students are capable and prepared to for
the Summative Assessment.
