Just this week, it was announced that Kirstjen Nielsen, Trump’s secretary of

Homeland Security, was resigning her position. This seemed like good news --
but what followed was alarming:

It was widely reported that Nielsen only resigned as a response to Trump

pressuring DHS to reinstate it’s cruel and inhumane family separation
policy at our border as well as turning around asylum seekers.

We know Trump is going to appoint another nominee to follow in Nielsen’s

despicable footsteps -- someone who will carry out his racist agenda in even
harsher ways. And we know there are going to be moments in the coming weeks
where we’re going to have to fight like hell to make sure agencies like ICE and
CBP are held accountable. But we need your help to be able to do that.

It’s almost the middle of the month -- the part where we check in on our
goals and count our resources so we know exactly how we can fight back
against Trump and his hateful agenda. Can you give $10 or more toward our
mid-month deadline so we can stay on track for April and keep up the fight?

 Trump is a bully who feeds off of hate, and we know that if he’s been trying to
restart the shameful family separation policy at our border, he’s going to nominate
someone who will help him do it.
