ABSTRACT

DESIGN OF AUTOMATIC TRADITIONAL INDIAN


SNACK MACHINE
Due to increase in population the need of food products and its daily
consumption is higher hence the food production need to be improved with latest
technology. An attempt is made to produce the traditional Indian snacks
“CHAKILUM” also called as “MURUKKU” in a semi-automated manner by
integrating the engineering techniques with the conventional procedure of the
recipe.

The work deals with extruding the dough of the ‘MURUKKU’ directly into the
pan. we can make the MURUKKU in desired shape & size. The extruded dough is
fried in pan at the suitable temperature. The manufacturing of such machines will
reduce the load time and helps in the mass production of food.
