▪ Description
• The Caterpillar Twin Auto-Lube system automatically supplies grease to all the service
grease points on the Articulated Truck. A further means of reducing operational costs
with wear and tear reduced to a minimum. The system offers a choice of three different
frequency settings; Heavy, Normal and Light. These three frequency levels are selectable
via the mode control unit, which provides a visual display of the selection and is located
inside the cab above the electrical service centre.
Please Note: When selecting the Auto-Lube attachment for the Ejector Articulated Truck
it is currently configured to lubricate the front and rear chassis lubrication points and not
the blade carriage assembly.
▪ Application/use
• Factory fitted to Caterpillar approved standards the twin system provides a regular
timed delivery of EP2 grease to all pins and bushes without the need to stop the machine.
Grease level and line pressures are continuously monitored and an in-cab display advises
the operator of system status.

▪ Description
• The Caterpillar Cycle Counter/Operator Monitor attachment is a display sub system.
This attachment provides the operator and site management with information on cycle
counts and data on machine status via a digitally displayed menu system that fits neatly
into the dash.
▪ Application/use
• The Cycle Counter/Operator Monitor is a versatile tool that automatically counts dump
cycles and calculates fuel consumption. The system is programmable for each individual
operator, for each individual day or for each job and can provide totals by operator per
day as well as jobs total. Service information is easily accessible without Electronic
Technician (E.T.)

• The attachment 281-3830 consists of the following:

▪ Application/use
• The higher capacity batteries, starter motor and cable with the low temperature brake
accumulators (735, 740 and 740 Ejector only) enables the machine to start and perform
as normal in severely cold climatic conditions where low temperatures could possibly
have an adverse effect on starting ability and functionality.

• Exhaust heat piping attachment consists of pipes, spherical joints, tee piece and spring
loaded mounting base. All articulated truck bodies are exhaust heat ready. (Except the
740 Ejector)
▪ Application/use
• This attachment utilizes the hot exhaust gases, re-routing them through channels in the base
of the body, allowing for clean ejection in cold weather and reduce the adhesion of very wet
loads. This can reduce the opportunity for carry back and increase productivity.

• Liner, Body attachment consists of shaped plates of hard wearing Brinell 450 steel, 9 mm
(0.35 in) on the sides and scow and 11 mm (0.43 in) on the base.

and reduce body deformation.

• Scissor tailgate attachment consists of tailgate, pivot arms and chains, which are anchored
to the body and rear chassis.
▪ Application/use
• The mechanically activated scissor tailgate reduces loose material spillage on steep grades,
easy to field install and maintain. The scissor tailgate attachment is not suitable for hauling
large boulders. All articulated truck bodies are scissor tailgate mounting ready.

• The Fast Fuel Filler attachment consists of a breather, a male bayonet connection and
an end cap.
▪ Application/use
• The fast fuel filler attachment enables the operator to fill the fuel tank safely and quickly.
The system is rated at 378.5 L/m (100 gal/m) when the total fuel head from the full level
at the top of the tank to the receiver is 2032 mm (80 in) and the feed line (ripper hose) has
a minimum I.D. of 51 mm (2 in) and a maximum length of 2159 mm (85 in).

▪ Description
• The PL121SR can be purchased alone and offers basic asset management capabilities.
For machines that can provide additional machine health and productivity information,
the PL300 ECM can be installed to tap into that information and pass it into the radio for
transmission back to the Equipment Manager web application. The PL121SR radio and
PL300 ECM combined together make up the PL321SR.

• This installation incorporates the PL121SR radio and the PL300 ECM into the machine for
reporting machine hours, location, parameters, events, and diagnostics. Machine maintenance
and health information is reported to help identify repair problems before they become
costly failures. If required fuel level and total fuel consumption information may be made
available. Software for the PL321SR is in flash memory and will be upgradeable in the
future to take advantage of ongoing releases of additional on-board functionality –
including additional machine utilization and productivity information.

• Caterpillar announces the availability of the Flashing Xenon Beacon, part number 284-4012.
This automatically activated attachment has a filament-less discharge tube providing
repetitive short bursts of high intensity light and is mounted on a retractable spring-loaded
arm at the rear of the cab. The arrangement has high visibility and comes complete with a
polycarbonate impact resistant lens, which is dust and water protected.
• Approved to ECE Regulation 65.
▪ Application/use
• The Flashing Xenon Beacon is easily raised and lowered on a spring-loaded retractable arm.
The lowered position is adopted for machine transportation.

700 Family Heavy Duty CD Receiver

• The Cat® Heavy Duty CD/Radio fits neatly into the wrap around dash, as the cab is already
configured to accept the CD/Radio installation, offering twin speakers and radio antenna
as standard.
▪ Application/use
• The radio has auto-store function and can store 6 preset stations on each of the 3 FM bands.
There are also AM, Weather and Satellite bands available. The digital display shows the
selection made.
• The integral CD player can play full size CDs with next track, reverse, fast reverse, repeat,
random, fast forward and pause functions. A 12/24-hour clock, alarm and a theft deterrent
are standard features.
