Learning Subject : Chemistry Topic Learnt : Colligative Properties of Solutions Grade/Semester : XII/1 Target Group : Those underlies by Information-Discussion Meeting Sequence : 1 ( on this standard competency ) Time Allocation : 1 x 45 minute
ACHIEVED COMPETENCY AND THE INDICATORS
Standard Competencies: Describe the colligative properties of non-electrolyte and electrolyte solutions Basic Competency: To Explain the decrease in vapor pressure, increase in boiling point, decrease in freezing point of solution, and osmosis pressure including the coligative nature of the solution Indicators of competency achievement: Students can explain the notion of freezing solution Students can calculate the decrease in the freezing point of the solution if molality and constant decrease in molal freezing are given LEARNING ACTIVITIES Learning Approach: Inquiry Forms of Activities Introduction ( 5 minutes ) Students are asked to explain the process of making ice cream simply Students are asked to explain the principles used in the process of making ice cream Main Activities 1. Exploration After observing the process of making ice cream in a simple way, the teacher asks students why is salt added? 2. Elaboration Students learn the notion of decreasing the freezing point of solution and how to calculate the decrease in freezing point of solution. 3. Confirmation In the confirmation activity, students ask for material that has not been understood and work on the practice questions given. Closing the Class (5 minutes) The teacher guides the students to conclude the material they have learned The teacher gives a closing greeting INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS Learning Materials: Reading material related to Colligative Properties of Solutions Relevant printed material or information downloaded from internet. References: Chemistry books containing information of Colligative Properties of Solutions Information in the internet relevant to the above matter. LEARNING PRODUCTS Human Resources Students can present presentations on the basics of theory, traits, and how to calculate the freezing point of solution. Students can understand the concept of calculating soluble freezing points Non Human Resource • Presentation of the theory of the coligative nature of the solution and its types • Concept mapping between the theory of Colligative solutions and a decrease in freezing point, also practicing using the freezing drop formula if it is known to be molarity and constant decrease in freezing point.
EVALUATION ON THE LEARNING PROGRAM
Learning Evaluation Cognitive aspect • Test students to understand the concept of the theory of coligative properties of solutions. • Understand the theory of decreasing freezing point of solution. • Test students to understand how to calculate the decrease in the freezing point of the solution if molality and constant decrease in molal freezing are given Affective Aspect Observe attendance, student activity. And observe student attitudes when listening to their theme opinions (appreciating the opinions of other friends). Psychomotor Aspect Observe the students' abilities in the discussion and calculate the decrease in the freezing point of the solution if molality and the constant decrease in the molal freezing point are given
