SECTION 1 SIZE LIMITATION

The Evaluation version of CAEPIPE pipe stress analysis software you have
downloaded lets you work with any pipe size and allows you to model up to
20 rows of input with no time limit. If your piping systems exceed 20 rows
of inputs, then use CAEPIPE's fully-scaled version to rapidly design and
analyze piping systems of practically any size or complexity with the least
effort.

SECTION 2 REVIEWING BIGMODEL.mod

As you cannot build a big model within the 20 rows
limit, SST includes a 'pre-saved', 'pre-analyzed' Big Model
(650 elements) so that you may view all portions of the model and the
analysis
results anytime you wish.

Simply File>Open - BigModel.mod

This model is the one that opens when you first install and run CAEPIPE.

SECTION 3 REVIEWING SAMPLE.mod

a. For your easy evaluation, an Acrobat document
Tutorial-1.pdf has been provided which gives you step-by-step
instructions
on how to build the sample model within 20 minutes.
b. This pdf file is located in your CAEPIPE\xxxx subdirectory
which was created when you installed CAEPIPE.
c. Find and print this document.
d. To make efficient use of your time, build your own model (use a
different
model name) before writing to SST's technical support.
SECTION 4 FULL CAEPIPE USER'S MANUAL
The CAEPIPE v8.xx Full User's Manual (PDF Format) is available at
SST's Website - Download Page. http://www.sstusa.com/downloads/kpipe-
usersmanual.pdf

It is suggested that you review this user’s manual AFTER you have
Reviewed the
bigmodel.mod, Printed and used the Tutorial.pdf to construct the
sample.mod.

SECTION 5 HOT KEYS

Like most advanced software, CAEPIPE has HOT KEYS - ways to
more easily input/edit data. Execute the software, under HELP menu,
navigate to the Menus section. This section has the different menus with
hotkeys, function descriptions and equivalent icons.

SECTION 6 SST's TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Once you have cursorily reviewed the Evaluation software, viewed the
BigModel, and built a Sample Model, if you have any technical queries,
you can
write to SST's Technical Support. Use the resource of numerous
tutorials
available in the link http://www.sstusa.com/caepipe-tutorials.php

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

Technical Support, and how responsive they are is one item

which rarely is listed when any pipe stress analysis software
is evaluated and certainly such is even more rarely listed
as a deciding consideration in recommendations to management.

As you are the individual that will be required to use this software, long
term, this issue is of supreme importance to you. You will be convinced of
the depth and responsive nature of SST's technical support.

SECTION 7 USE CAEPIPE-EVAL FOR REAL WORK

We call this CAEPIPE-EVAL (a working copy, limited in size)
our ADDICTION PACKAGE.

We want you to use it for Real Work. There is no reason you should
ever do 'hand calculations' again. Further, the Evaluation is not copy
protected - for a reason. Give copies to co-workers. Let them use
 it too - free.
