This pamphlet has been prepared as a quide in properly using the Hitachi Motor Driven Trolley Model ST. We recom- rend that all operators throughly read the contenes carefully ‘The Motor Driven Trolley is compact, light, and very convenient. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS This trolley is designed for safe operation within the limits ofits rated capacity, There are safety features built into the hoist and trolley to/protect the operator and others from injury due to failure ofthe hoist itself. However, listed below are safety pointers which must be followed in order to protect personnel and property. 1 2 ‘Align hoist fora straight line pull. Avoid sige pull or end pull Limit switches are emergency devices. Do not use limit switches to stop the heist in normal operation, Do not operate hoist with twisted, kinked or damaged chain Donot operate a damaged or malfunctioning hoist until necessary adjustments or repairs have been made. Do not use hoist totft people er 10 cary loads over people. De not lift more than the rated capacity ofthe hoist and trolley. ‘Do not leave a load suspended in the air unattended, Avoid jogging controls or quick reversals of load. Always remove load and disconnect hoist from power supply before making repairs, Do not remodel the trolley. In ease that remodeling 's necessary, please contact the nearest Hitachi representative. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 2. The power supply should be within plus or minus 10% of rated voltape. The supporting structure shauld nave aload rating atleast equal to the holst and trolley. COUPLING TROLLEY WITH HOIST Hang the electric chain heist haok on the central recess af the suspension pin, and while refering to Fig. 1, carefully ‘arranges so thatthe relative directions ofthe trolley and the electric chain hoist are correct SWITCH MOTOR: cover HAIN CONTAINER CONTAINER 1 AND 2 CHAIN FALL 3 AND 5 CHAIN FALL
