10 Rules To Live By Essay

Ethics are rules that demonstrates a person's behavior in an activity. In my opinion

justice represent the behavior you receive or give to others. The way you want to be treated,

you would have to treat the person way so it can be equal to each other. The relationship

between ethics and justice is that they both contain the behavior we demonstrate in order to be

equal and happy. The ethical framework that would best fit my 10 rules would be consequences

and duty framework because my rules are based off of what you should to be a good person

which is duty and following the rules for the best outcome which is consequentialist.

Firstly, my rules is about how you can be a good person by how you treat everyone

around you. The rules that I created are to do no harm to those who are innocent like unless

you're defending yourself from a dangerous there isn’t any excuse to put your hands on others

or animals, to be honest but doesn’t mean to hurt others feeling so be careful what you say like

say the truth but not in an offensive way, respect those who respect you for example if someone

greets you then you should always greet them back or someone checks up on then you should

check up on them to, be thankful for what you have in life like stop wishing for unnecessary

things when you got all you need because some don't have the blessings you have right now,

forgive those who didn’t mean to cause a problem for example everyone makes mistakes and
some don't mean to so you should give them a second chance because everyone deserves a

second chance. Also to be helpful to those are in a need for a hand like there a stressful times

and hand will make a huge difference, make wise decisions when it comes to various situations

like not everything was to be about think about other around and how they might get affected by

the outcome, have self control by keeping your anger to yourself because the people around

don't know what's happening and they have nothing to do with it, be responsible for what you
get

yourself into but it doesn't mean to make your decisions, and think positively in order to show

positive actions to others because in order to treat other right you would need to get yourself in

the right positions. All these connect to duty because that's what you would need to do have a

healthy life and to make people happy feel the same way and in the text it states, “ Ethical

conduct is defined by one's duties and doing the right thing, and the goal is performing the

correct action” (Brown University 1). So it’s your duty to keep up a positive attitude in order to

make positive actions in order to do the right thing. My rules also connect to consequentialist

because it’s about how you can get the best outcome towards others and in the text it states,

“and consider ethical conduct to be whatever will achieve the best consequences” (Brown

University 1). This explains that my rules direct a person to do good things in order good things

to happen.

However, throughout my process in making my rules at first was easy because they

were basic rules that a good person would follow. After getting to know all the frameworks my

table mate revised my rules and said I had a couple rules that were similar. I ended up making
different rules but then after all the paideias we had, I had a different table mate revise my
rules

and yet I still had similar rules because just a little connection make more than one rule similar.
It

was difficult to think of anu rules because they were family obligations that makes you have

different opinion because in the text it states, “Because she raised me and cared for me, I have

an obligation to repay the benefit” (Excerpt from Justice” What's the right thing to do?) This

explains that since my mother took care of me that means I take care of her when she's older. It

was hard for me to think if a rule related to that because everyone was a different background.

So I had to look at everyone's perspectives and point of view in order for the rules to be equal

and right to do.

In conclusion, if I ever lived by these rules I would be in a mentally and physically

positive state of mind because in life not everything is about you and you get to have people

treating you good the way you treat them. If the world followed these rules there would be more

equality and love around us because everyone is treating each other equally and respectfully. I

think it would be be best if the world followed these rules because it would show a great
example

the generations after us and we can all live happy and safe together.
