10 RULES TO LIVE BY 
 
What does ethics mean? Well ethics mean the moral principles that you live by. These 
rules you live by are rules you have to follow in order to live a good life. What does justice mean 
to me? Well what justice means to me is when you get what you deserve or it means to be fair. 
Justice and ethics are related because the are both to of the same things for example justice and 
ethics can be both considered moral laws that you have to follow or to will get justice. One of the 
frameworks I follow the most is virtue because I do things because they are right and I want to. 
 
For example here are some of my rule that I live by. The first rule is ​PUT OTHERS 
FIRST​, the next rule is ​HELP SOMEONE IF THEY NEED IT, ​the third rule is ​DO NOT 
IGNORE SOMEONE IF THEY NEED IT, ​the fourth rule is ​DON'T JUDGE ANYONE BY 
THE WAY THEY LOOK AND ACT, ​fifth rule is, ​TREAT SOMEONE HOW YOU WANT 
TO BE TREATED. ​All these rules to me​ ​something that I do out of the good in me because I 
love helping people and I don't like to hurt anybody. What these rules are saying is that you don't 
hurt anyone or you think about others peoples feelings beside yours and you also do because you 
should. 
Here are some more examples of the rules I live by. The first one ​DO NO HARM​, the 
next rule is ​THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES, ​ the third rule is ​BE A LEADER FOR 
A POSITIVE CHANGE, ​the fourth rule is ​TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN 
ACTIONS, ​ the last rule is ​DON'T LIE ALL THE TIME ONLY LIE WHEN IT IS 
NECESSARY. ​All these rules to me are when I think about what would happen to me if I did 
not listen to my rules but they are also important because they represent me when I think about 
myself which is also important. What these rules are saying is that you should think about how 
something impacts your life and​ ​yourself because it could affect you big time if you don't think 
about yourself every once and awhile. 
I developed my list by thinking about what my mom has taught me in my life and what I 
have been doing all of my life because this is what I got taught was the right way to be a good 
person and how I should treat other people. I had to make a couple of revisions to my rules 
because some of them sounded similar then they were the same and i did not my rules all 
sounding the same and being the same rules. 
I do live by some of these rules and my life is good because i'm good to people who aren't 
necessarily good to me but I don't care because as long as I am nice and a good person I don't 
care what people treat me like. I think if people lived by my rules this earth would be a much 
better place than it is right now and people would be kinder and more polite and not be rud.e
