From the Apalachicola Riverkeepers: On April 1st, Governor Ron DeSantis and
the Cabinet of the State of Florida designated the month of April as WATER
CONSERVATION MONTH! At a Cabinet meeting yesterday, Waterkeepers of
Florida were recognized for our efforts to protect and restore Florida's waters as
part of the Resolution ceremony at the designating April as Water Conservation
Month. Members of the international Waterkeeper Alliance, Florida
Waterkeepers work together on statewide issues of water quality and quantity.
Special thank you to Florida’s Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner,
Nikki Fried, for creating the Resolution inviting us to join in its passing at the
Capitol!
The Friends of the Franklin County Public Library 2019 Putt Masters
Mini Golf Tournament was a great success last Saturday & a lot of fun.

Tremendous thanks goes to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring the
fundraiser, and to the Red Pirate Family Grill in Eastpoint for hosting the
annual event. Many thanks to the Team Sponsors and Hole Sponsors,
without your sponsorships there would be not be sufficient funding for
the Library to offer the innovative children's programs and events. And,
of course, a whole lot of thanks to all of the team players, which included
very young players, first time players who got their first hole-in-one,
seasoned players, and a special thanks to those who were called upon as
last minute substitutes. We also appreciate the spectators who came out
to cheer us on! It was a great day!
