Congress of the United States ‘Mashington, BE 20515 ‘Apeil 15,2019 Mack MeGowa, President Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., LLC 1385 Hancock Street Quincy, MA 02169 Dear President McGowan: We write to strongly urge stop and shop to return tothe negotiating table. Failing to come to an ‘expeditious fair agreement hurts the company, its employees and its consumers especially as we approach the Easter holiday. ‘Stop and Shop’s parent company, Ahold Delhaize, has recorded strong profits both lat year and in its recent fiscal quarter. These profits are the direct result ofthe hard work of UFCW employees. Stop and Shop and the communities it serves benefit from workers who are paid living wages ‘and receive other compensation benefits that allow the workers to care for ther families and provide a future for their children while understanding the need for Stop and Shop to thrive in the competitive retail market. Itis our hope that Stop & Shop, through good faith negotiations, becomes a better place to work by reaching a contract agreement that reflects the true value of its workers, Sincerely, Boek Dilaee Member of Congress JOE COURTNEY l ‘Member of Congress
