Back Office Engineer BSS

Ericsson Algeria ATM Mobilis project (Short term assignment)


RESPONSIBILITIES
 Restoration of Huawei BSS network problems, prioritizing faults to meet WLA / SLA.
 Performing the L2 support by technologies, performance management, configuration
management, escalation management and security management for the Huawei network
equipments.
 Investigating faults, providing technical reports to identify cause of problems, and giving
preventive guidance to avoid same problem happen again.
 Network database updating and maintenance.
 Second line support with necessary expertise to resolve issues escalated from first line.
 Escalation of trouble ticket to third Line when they cannot be solved by second line, and
monitor it until solved.
 Configuration of needed resources for Service Provisioning
 Fulfilling the Service configuration and activation according to plan for Service
Provisioning
 Network and service performance data collection.
 Collection and administration of performance data.
 Performance reporting and administration.
 Compilation of reports based on network performance data.
 Periodically evaluate the Network subscriber growth patterns and assess these trends.
 Prepare implement and rollback plan and call a review meeting for configuration request.
 Record and report the process and final effect for configuration request.
 Fulfill the configuration plan for configuration request.
 Network resource utilization monitoring.
 Traffic monitoring.
 Traffic management/analysis.
 Recommendation of the capacity expansion.
 Fulfill the capacity expansion.
 Routine Inspection.
 Handling the TT (Trouble tickets) and implementation of CR (change requests).
 User management of LMT (local maintenance terminals) for PCU, BSC32 and BSC6000.
 Participation in internal technical discussions to improve overall network performance.
 Re-homing of BTS site.

 CSR handling related to BSC (AXE 810), RBS-2000 family.
 Providing technical service and support to new and existing telecommunication customers.
 Troubleshooting and resolving problems in order to stabilize and optimize the customer
network.
 Configuring and integrating different nodes and solutions in new and live customer
networks.
 KPI analysis.
 Working on PRIMUS and SMS.
 Efficiently using WinFiol.
 Providing support to local and global customers.
 Coordination with performance department to resolve the KPI degradations.
 Attending the CSR meeting with customers.

JOB FUNCTIONS

 Installation, Commissioning and Troubleshooting of Huawei BTS, BSC and PCU.


 Installation, troubleshooting of Antenna system, Power system (Altek,Emerson).
 Configuration of BSC, BTS and PCU using LMT.
 Performing health test of BTS3012, BTS3012AEBSC32, BSC6000 and PCU.
 Strong grip on Huawei tools iManager2000 ,BSC6000 LMT,MML BSC32LMT
BTS312,BTS3012A,BTS3012,BTS3012AE,BTS3900 SMTs.
 Rectification of bad KPI (CSSR,CEFR,TCH Availability rate, HSR,DCR, SDMHT, TCH
congestion, SDCCH congestion etc)
 Tracing different interfaces to rectify call muting and call drop issues.
 Coordination with Subcontractors and Push them to deploy the sites within given time.
 Troubleshooting of internal and external Alarms.
 GPRS Function issues analysis and rectification.
 Customer compliances for better relationships: process improvement of deployment with
standards.
 Worked as an Active Team Member with having the morals high to face any type of
problem.
 Resolving the Un-managed BSCs.
 Up-gradation of BSC, BTS and PCU by installing the latest patches.
 Provided training to the Customer engineers for Level 1 trouble shooting.
 Performed the site survey for swap and new sites.
 Took part in Re-homing and cutover activities.
