hallowed be thy name. Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us
this day our daily bread; and
forgive us our trespasses, as we
forgive those who trespass against
us; and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

the thread?

C. Presentation of the Topic

The video and pictures that I have
presented shows that the cause
is why something happened. The cause
always happens first, even if it isn’t
mentioned first. The effect
is what happened and it occurs after the
cause.

But how can we use complex sentences A complex sentence is a sentence

to show cause and effect? What is a in which at least two ideas are
complex sentence? combined into a single sentence.

The two ideas could be expressed as two

separate sentences, but they are more
effectively expressed in a complex
sentence. In a complex sentence the two
ideas can be combined in a way that
shows their cause-and-effect
relationship.

How can we combine two ideas? By using subordinating

conjunctions.

These are examples of subordinating Examples of Subordinating

Cause and Effect: Matching Game

The teacher will divide the class into
four groups. Each group will be given a
three sentence strips that contains a
cause and three sentence strips on the
other containing the effect. The group
will match three pairs of their members
holding the sentence strips with the
exact cause and effect relationship.
When they’re done, they will share their
answers in front.
