and learn about the different perspectives shapes in common items.

Activity The objective of the lesson is an introduction into the four basic
shapes with built in activities to look over for a better
understanding. Follow the steps:
a) Teacher will provide a brief discussion of the shapes and the
definitions.
b) On each slide, it will have the title of the shape with a small
summary of the shape. Also, it will have a few pictures to
showcase the meaning of the shape. (Example: Circle: A flat
shape with no sides or corners. The pictures on the slide will
have circles with color and some with regular items that
demonstrates being a circle. )
c) Go through each slide and each one will have the layout as
of point B above
d) On slide five, the title will say “Shapes Video”. Skip slide
five.
e) Slide six will appear and a game should load on the screen.
The screen will have two swirling circles and in the middle
the yellow words will read “circle and square”
f) At the bottom of the screen there will be twelve examples
to review the understanding of the shapes.
g) Drag the shapes at the bottom to the correct swirling circle.
Pedagogy

If you place them into the correct space. It will disappear. If

you drag the picture to the wrong swirling circle, the image
will spinning and grow bigger and place it back to the

above
i) Slide eight will provide a T chart that will have “Word” on
the left and “Description” on the right. On the right side of
the screen, it will show four shapes names. It will read
rectangle, circle, square and triangle. Under the description
portion, it will list four brief summaries of each shape.
j) Drag each term to the correct definition.
k) At the top of the purple lining, there is the option that reads
“Check”. Click on it. This allows the student to check if they
answered the definitions correctly. If some of the words are
in the wrong definition, a red “X” will appear on the left side
of the screen right beside the word. There will be a green
“Check Mark” will appear beside the correct word. This gives
feedback to the students to understand the terms to the
shapes.
l) Click on the “Reset” purple button to start over. The teacher
may allow students to keep trying until they get all the
answers correct. Once the students have successfully
