Statement
• Special Education teacher with experience working with children and
adults, building collaborative relationships to ensure the success of
others. Throughout my job history I have worked to build relationships
and gain valuable experience to be a teacher for the next generation of
learners.
SHIFT SUPERVISOR, STARBUCKS, FAIRFAX, VA, 2013-PRESENT
• Responsible for 4-6 other employees depending on the given shift, with
the responsibility of ensuring that the store runs smoothly, customers are
happy, and each employee is motivated for the work day.

• Made decisions on who should be where, based on strengths.


• Title of Barista Trainer, which had me train, teach, and help new baristas
understand the roles of the store, how to perform, and was a guide to
ensure they learned how to be successful.

• Provide unparalleled customer service to customers, engaging in one on


one conversations, and bringing an upbeat, and friendly attitude.
• Responsible for inventory orders for the upcoming week, inventory
counts, and performed cash-handling duties.

• Promoted to shift supervisor after only 6 months working.


• Certified Coffee Master after engaging in an 8 week learning program,
designed to teach about the history of coffee, how coffee is made, where
it is grown, and brewing methods. This information was then applied to a
Coffee Seminar where I would teach baristas and customers about
specific coffees.
• I have won Partner of the Quarter on 3 separate occasions, at 3 different
store locations.

Relevant Experience

 Throughout junior high and high school, I volunteered for Vacation Bible
Schools, which included being responsible for students (elementary
age), leading activities, and working with other volunteers in designing
games and activities.

 During my Freshman year of college, I would babysit once every two


weeks a child with cerebral palsy.

 Throughout College I was involved in the Youth Group (11-17 year olds)
at my church as a leader. I lead discussions, and teachings, as well as
volunteered in the community through food drives, community clean
ups, and building projects.

Grand Canyon University (currently enrolled, 3.94 GPA), Masters in Special
Education- 2017- present
Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelors
Degree in Educational Studies in December of 2016.

Skills
I am a very good public speaker, possess excellent verbal and
communication skills and do not get nervous around new groups of people. I
learn very quickly, especially when it comes to working with others. Possess
basic computer skills, such as word, PowerPoint, and excel, while also
being able to perform screen casts and website designs. I bring a
tremendous amount of energy to whatever role I am in, am dependable,
and am motivated to perform whatever task laid before me at a high level.
