6日、日本で 一番 大きい 魚市場、「築地 市場」が 83年の


歴史に 幕を 下ろしました。
11日、市場は 豊洲に 移転します。
豊洲は 築地の すぐ 近くです。

築地(市場)は 1935年に できました。


建物が 古く なったので、豊洲に 新しい 施設を 造って、
そこに 移転する ことに なりました。

築地には 2つの 区域が あります。


「場内」と「場外」です。

場内は 卸売りです。
場外は 小売り、すなわち、一般の 人の ための 魚屋や 寿司屋
が あります。

移転するのは 場内だけ、場外は その まま 築地に 残ります。


築地では 一般の 人が 場内に 入る ことが できました。
ですから、観光客など 一般の 人は 直接 マグロの 競りを 見る
ことが できました。

豊洲では 見学者用 コースと マグロの 競りの 見学デッキが 用


意 されました。
一般の 人は そこから ガラス越しに 中を 見ます。

築地に 比べて、豊洲は 近代的です。


でも、「直接 見る」のと「ガラス越しに 見る」のは けっこう
違います。
見学者は 競りの 活気を 肌で 感じる ことが できない でしょ
う。

築地では 一般の 人が 自由に 場内を 歩き回る ことが できま


した。
その ため、トラブルが けっこう あった そうです。
「ガラス越し」は なんか 味気ないですが、しょうがないのかも
しれません。
