Mechanics and Criteria for Judging

Mechanics

1. Each group will have a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 150 participants.

2. Each group will perform to any dance music with a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum time

limit of 5 MINUTES. Beyond this limit, a total of five (5) points will be deducted from the group’s

total score.

3. The dance number must have the accompaniment of a modern, hip-hop, and lively music. Note:

Remixing of music is ALLOWED however, using ONE SONG is also ALLOWED depending on the

prerogative of the team.

4. Folk dance songs (remixed or not) are PROHIBITED.

5. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials as props is NOT allowed.

6. Lifting, tumbling, and pyramiding are also NOT allowed.

7. Choreographer must be a teacher or a student of DNHS ONLY.
