SELLING FORFEITED 2017 PEANUTS - Under the authority of 7 USC 1431, Disposition of Commodities to Prevent Waste, The
Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) desires to exchange CCC-owned bulk peanuts for commercial peanut butter. The peanut
butter will be in 12/16-ounce containers, produced and packaged in accordance with USDA specification and destined for various US
locations. Bidders may submit offers for less than the quantity indicated. CCC may make award to multiple bidders to fulfill the
requested quantity. CCC may reject any or all offers.
CCC-owned bulk peanuts are available for the exchange and will be released in-store at the primary code and location listed
on the catalog, using the factors shown on the warehouse receipt(s). Although CCC does not guarantee the quality of the peanuts that
will be loaded out, warehouse operators are obligated to deliver the total CCC receipt value of peanuts represented on the warehouse
receipt, based on the factors on the warehouse receipt.
CCC will not pay the load out charges. Prospective contractors are strongly urged to contact the storing warehouse operator
regarding scheduling, quality, and any applicable charges including fumigation and grading/inspection fees. The contractor will be
responsible for any fees that apply. CCC will pay storage on CCC-owned bulk peanuts through the date of the title transfer.
Offers, modifications, or withdrawals must be received by: 4:00 p.m. CDT, April 26, 2019.
AMS will email contractor with notice of acceptance by: 4:00 p.m. CDT, May 6, 2019. Delivery will be between July 1 and
December 31, 2019.

2018 PEANUT CROP VALUE – According to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, the price of peanuts averaged
$0.214 per pound ($428 ton) last season, 6.5% lower than 2017. The value of the 2018 peanut crop at farm level is
$1,155,709,000, a 29.3% DECEASE from 2017. Harvested peanut acres were down 22 percent.
The highest average price was paid in New Mexico ($594 per ton) followed by Texas at $500 per ton. The lowest price
average was paid in Arkansas at $.193 per pound or $386 per ton. Georgia was next lowest at $.200 or $400 per ton. Mississippi
was the next lowest at $.204 per pound or $408 per ton. About 50 percent of the revenue from peanuts was produced in Georgia.
Ranking second with revenue is Texas (10.4%) followed by Alabama (10.2%).
