RAFT Task Cards

Irrational Number: You are Irrational Number. You are different than all of the other
numbers in the real number system. In your blog post you must explain to your viewers
how you differ from the rational numbers based on your characteristics.

Rational Number: Y ou are Rational Number. Over the years, you have done so much
for the Real Number System. You decide to write a biography. In your biography you
must explain how Integer, Whole Number, and Natural Number wouldn’t exist without
you. Think of what makes you YOU and what makes them them!

Integer: You are Integer and lately, you have been feeling a bit tense around Rational
Number. You and Rational Number use to be bros, but your differences got in the way.
So, you decide to write a letter to Rational Number. In your letter, you must explain to
Rational Number what your differences are and your similarities so that he can see how
much you value your relationship.

Whole Number: You are Whole Number and you have just about had it with Integer!
Integer can just be so negative sometimes! And today, he tried to start a fight with you.
In your dialogue you must include what you and integer said to each other and despite
your differences, what you two realized you had in common that resolved the conflict.

Natural Number: You are Natural Number. Whole Number keeps trying to steal your
identity and you are over it! You decide to write a formal petition to get rid of Whole
Number. In your petition, you must state your similarities with Whole Number but also
what makes you different.
