Dear Mountain Ridge Parents and Guardians,

We want to provide you with an update about information we first sent in

February. A Mountain Ridge teacher was on an approved leave of absence
connected to a Peoria Police Department investigation. Police have now
completed a very extensive investigation, and did not find a single piece of
evidence of wrongdoing by the teacher.

Police report that a Mountain Ridge student made false allegations during the
investigation. Detectives have submitted charges for False Reporting to the
Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for review.

The District cooperated fully with Peoria Police on its investigation. We are
unable to provide any further information.

We appreciate your patience and support during the past several weeks as
police conducted this investigation.
