2.1 EXISTING SYSTEM


The existing system is a manual system, which involves a lot of manual work for
collecting the details about particular order. The number of customer arrival in day by day. It is
increasing due to intensive marketing.

DRAWBACKS OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM


 Manual work results in error
 Less security
 Needs lot of man power and time
 Report may not clear and need
 Stock taking and updating may be difficult

2.2 NEED FOR PROPOSED SYSTEM

 Processing time is very much reduced.


 System should be error free.
 It maintains the feasible transaction up to date.
 Provision for further updating should exist.
 Less processing and operating cost.
 Proposed system enables the user to maintain all the details clearly
and correctly.
 Only authorized person should access.

2.3 PROPOSED SYSTEM

In order to overcome the existing system drawbacks, the whole system is planned to be
computerized under one platform to solve the maintenance problem of agency management.
The proposed system provides the solution for the sales maintenance, purchase
maintenance, stock maintenance and the problem is customized report generation. The proposed
system also gives the user an interactive, easy to use interface which reduces his burden to enter
the process details.
The need for development of “Medical Store Management” is due to the following
reasons.

 It provides the sales return of every item daily, weekly and monthly wise in
legible manner.

 The item number, details of stock and expiry date of items has been viewed easily
through report.

 Human errors are eradicated.

plan and overcome the problems in the existing manual system.
