ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: Larry Atherton of Motion Software wishes to thank the many programmers and
beta testers who contributed to the development of this program. And a special thanks to Lance Noller for
his yearlong dedication to this project, his patience, his amazing talent, and his desire to make this pro-
gram the best of its kind ever developed. And thanks to Trent Noller for solving every problem thrown at
him, Kent Gaulter at Windsor Logic for his willingness to drop everything for Motion Software, and to Jan
Noller for keeping the big picture in focus.

Vehicles in Full Throttle are staged, launched, and shifted with the ALT and
SHIFT keys. The left-hand keys control the Left Lane and the right-hand keys
control the Right Lane. Press and hold the ALT key to increase engine rpms
and move your vehicle forward to stage. Do not release the ALT key when
your vehicle is staged; you will not “roll through the lights.” Then press the
SHIFT key to increase engine rpm to Launch speed. After a random delay,
the amber lights will illuminate. When the appropriate amber bulb lights, re-
lease the SHIFT key to launch your vehicle. For vehicles with multiple-speed
transmissions under User Control, press-and-release the SHIFT key to shift
into the next gear. The shift-light will turn red, indicating when the shift rpm
has been reached for each gear. If you wish to decelerate during a race (e.g.,
to avoid breaking out) release the ALT key (it acts as the throttle).
