1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?
During this field experience, I had the opportunity to work with several teachers to share the Immersive Reader tool in Class Notebook. It is important to
remember that not everyone is comfortable with new technology or new strategies. What worked well for me during this field experience was the “pre” work
coaching these teacher prior to introducing the Class Notebook and Immersive Reader. If the teachers did not trust me as an instructional coach, something
like Immersive Reader (and it’s learning curve) would have been underutilized.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge – As an instructional coach, it is important that we are aware of the tools that are available for our use. We have to be aware of how certain tools
work together, as well as how these tools can be used in unconventional ways.

Skills – Instructional coaches need to have the ability to think outside of the box. We wanted to use Class Notebook in a way that we had not discussed
before (a single Class Notebook with supplemental materials for each subject). We had to find the best way to introduce all of the teachers to Class
Notebook and share how it would be used in their classroom.

Dispositions – Instructional coaches need to be open. The direction that this field experience was going changed several times. The administration had their
own ideas, the media specialist has some ideas, even the individual teachers had their own suggestions about how to best serve the student. Working together
in an AT team, we were able to develop the best strategies for assisting this student.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?

We added another tool to the bag of technology tools to be used in the classroom. Since introducing this Class Notebook to this individual student, I have
had several teachers contact me about setting up a Class Notebook for their class. While it may be used in a different manner, it has started some discussions
with several teachers about what we can do more to help all of the students.
