The FPFILcoalescing filteris a multistagefilerthat providemaximum

solid& liquidremoval.The primarystageof separationis designedfor
removal of large solid and liquid particulatethough gravitational&
centrifugalforce.lt is howeverto be notedthat if highsolidor liquidslugs
are presentthen additionalseparationinternalsviz multitudecyclone
must be installedto provide bulk removal and extend life of the
coalescingelement.
The gas then entersthe final stage of separationconsistingof special
multi layeredfibre glass coalescingelements.These filterselements
afe chosenaccordingto the type of filtration, efficiencyand allowable
pressureorop.
Thefilterelementsare arrangedin a staggeredpatternto accommodate
the maximumnumberof filterelementsand providemaximumfiltering
areas and equal flow distributionacross all filters. The entrainment
ladenoasflowsfrom
insideto the outsideof the coalescingeiements. The outerlayerof the filteracts as the pre filterto remove
largersolidparticles. The fibresof the middlelayercapturethe fine liquiddropletssuspendedin the gas and
causedropletsto coalesceand form largedropletswithinthe depthof the filters. The dropletsare drawn
awayfromthe elementsdownto the sumpat the out let by gravity. The coalescinglayeris a nonwickingfibre
glass layerthat allowsair/ gas to pass while providingan area for the gravitationalaccumulationof the
dropletsto flowto the sump.Cleangas passesthroughthe elementsand exitsthroughthe vesseloutlet.
WARNING:- FPFIL type of Coalescerfilter is not recommendedin case of large quantitiesof liquids
entrainnrents,as a cloggingof the cartridgewouldtake place,reachingsuddenlyhighpressuredifferentials
whichcoulddamagethe cartridges.
