Summary
Unemployment is a phenomenon that occurs when a person who

actively searching for job is unable to find. This is the major factor in

our country. Unemployment is much higher due to the number of people

who have stopped looking for jobs. Lack of jobs available is also major

cause for graduate unemployment factor. Graduates are completing

university with a degree and full knowledge but still lack work

experience. The purpose of this report is to highlight the weak points of

students who getting job. In this survey report, majority of the students

thought that unemployment is major factor in our country. 89% of boys

answered in ‘Yes’ and 11% of boys answered in ‘No’. Whereas 91% of

girls answered in ‘Yes’ and 9% girls answered in ‘No’. The percentage

of each questionnaire is represented in tables and graphs. Appendix is

attached at the end to justify the research report.

Introduction

The term unemployment means to be without a job but actively looking

for one. Unemployment is a worldwide and global issue. Workless
people are always dangerous to our country. They are burden on country
.Throughout the year, the unemployment rate has been increasing. Some
universities are given the opportunity to compare their performance with
some other universities in one major aspect of their work. Data collected
and processed by each university’s and order to provide a rough estimate
of the unemployment rate of its most recent set of bachelor level.
Estimate unemployment rates have been reported regularly in the
financial times since the early 1970s by Michael Dixon, who suggests
that the data provided by careers office show how graduates from
different universities are valued by the employment market but
particularly discover the extent to which difference between universities
in the unemployment rate of new graduates
There are three types of unemployment
 Frictional
 Structural
 Deficient demand
These types of unemployment and the unemployment rate in general
have varying effects on gender.
Frictional unemployment is caused by the normal turnover in the labor
market and the time it takes to find a new job.
Structural unemployment occurs when workers lack the required skills
for the available positions.
Deficient-demand unemployment is a case where the demand for labor
throughout the entire labor force has decreased.

Some factor increases the rate of unemployment

 Unemployment is increases due to the number of people who
have stopped looking for job.
 The lack of jobs available
 Lack of work experience
Major factors in Pakistan
1. Poor governance
2. Political instability
3. Corruption
Poor governance is an essential pre-condition for employment as it
establishes the enabling regulatory and legal framework essential for the
sound functioning of land and other factors of market.
Political instability is fundamental to the creation of an enabling
environment for the growth and development.
Corruption is the most dangerous factor that eroded piston economic
and governance system since its inception

Investigation
The present research report is about ‘Unemployment of graduate student’. For
this purpose a survey report was conducted. A structured questions of 20
items was proposed 50. Survey Performa’s were distributed among out
science and arts students. 25 were boys and 25 were girl’s students.
Their responses were in yes/no.
The list of questions and their responses are given below

Conclusion

The present research was about ‘The unemployment of graduate students

in Government College University Faisalabad’. In this survey report,

majority of the students thought that unemployment is the major factor.

The main purpose for this report is that the students get awareness from

unemployment factors. This report is for the students to engage, to be

more productive and turn their fear into challenges and challenges into

success. For this purpose, a survey was conducted. A structured

questionnaire of 20 items was prepared. Majority of the students agreed

that unemployment is a main problem in our country. The present

research report will pave the way for future researchers to conduct

research in similar areas.
