I have a brother. He is very good at me. His name is Riski Kurniawan. As generally a
brother, my brother and I almost look similar. We both have curly and short hair. My brother
also has the same nose as I do. However, although, my brother and I look similar, I had a bit
of differences. He has a white color while I have brown skin color. My brother is about 5 cm
higher than me. His height is approximately 170 cm. The difference of our age is little. He is
23 years old while I am 20 years old. Perhaps that makes us closer one another.
Many people regard us that we are twins. But I think we are a little difference. For
example: My brother doesn’t like durian. He hates that fruit. Even just smell it could make him
vomit. But I really love the durian. He loves football while I love basketball. And also, my
brother is very quiet person when at home while I am an active person who is always moving
to seek attention.
My brother is very kind to me. He always teaches me new things like swimming, riding
motorcycles and much more. As the oldest child, he wants me to be a successful person. He
always supports me every day. My Brother is a smart child; he always gets good mark in school.
It is inversely proportional to me who less intelligent in the academic field. But after all, my
brother is the greatest brother in the world.
20. What does the writer’s brother look like when he is at home?

Satellite view is showing the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany's capital city. The gate is one of
the best known symbols of Berlin and of Germany as well. It is one of the former city gates, built
1788–1791 (the Quadriga, was installed in 1793), and it is the only one that survives. The
Brandenburg Gate was a former city gate of Berlin. The design of the gate is based upon the
Propylaea, the gateway to the sanctuaries of The Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
The Brandenburg Gate consists of twelve Doric columns, six to each side, forming five passageways.
Atop the gate is the Quadriga, the chariot of gods, drawn by four horses and driven by Victoria, the
Roman goddess of victory. Today the Quadriga faces east, as it did originally.
The gate has played different political roles in German history, for example: after the 1806 Prussian
defeat, Napoleon took the Quadriga to Paris. Some years later the Quadriga was restored to Berlin.
After the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961, the gate stood in East Berlin, a conspicuous symbol
of a divided city. After the fall of the wall it was reopened in December 1989.
Brandenburg Gate is located west of the city center at the intersection of Unter den Linden and
Ebertstraße, immediately west of the Pariser Platz.

On Wednesday, my students and I went to Yogyakarta. We stayed at Dirgahayu Hotel which is not far
from Malioboro.
On Thursday, we visited the temples in Prambanan. There are three big temples, the Brahmana, Syiwa
and Wisnu temples. They are really amazing. We visited only Brahmana and Syiwa temples, because
Wisnu temple was being renovated.
On Friday morning we went to Yogya Palace. We spent about two hours there. We were lucky because
we were led by a smart and friendly guide. Then we continued our journey to Borobudur. We arrived
there at four p.m. At 5 p.m. we heard the announcement that Borobudur gate would be closed.
In the evening we left for Jakarta by tourism bus

An aurora is a natural light display in the sky particularly in the high latitude (Arctic and
Antarctic) regions, caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the
high altitude atmosphere (thermosphere). The charged particles originate in the
magnetosphere and solar wind are directed by the Earth`s magnetic field into the atmosphere.
Most auroras occur in a band known as the aurora zone which is typically 3 to 6 in latitudinal
extent and at all local times or longitudes.
Aurora is classified as diffuse or discrete aurora. The diffuse aurora is a featureless glow in
the sky which may not be visible to the naked eye even in a dark night and defines the extent
of the aurora zone. Discrete aurorae are sharply defined feature within the diffuse aurora
which vary in brightness from just barely visible to the naked eye to bright enough to read a
newspaper at night .Discrete aurorae are usually observed only in the night sky because they
are not as bright as the sunlit sky.
In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the aurora borealis (or the northern lights), named
after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for the north wind, Boreas,
by Pierre Gassendi in 1621. Its southern counterpart, the aurora Australis (or the south

This is one of my most cherished memories of my childhood. I started school probably at age of five or
six.
On my first day, my mom dressed me up and packed my bags while my dad did my tie. My parents
and I drove to the school building and wow it was huge!! I was just amazed by the sight! So dad steps
out of the car and opens the door for me. He took me by my hand and we walked slowly towards school.
My mom stayed behind and started to cry (I remember quite vividly – and I even remember me starting
to cry, telling her “I want to go back home!” Still dad didn’t take my request and we walked. I was crying
and shocked when I entered the building. Dad did the registration, met my teacher and hugged me for
the last time and off he went. I came late to class and I saw all the kids already there. I was blushing. I
had a great day, made lots of friends and played around!
