BACKGROUND Problems on students’ diversity with diverse needs still


AND RATIONALE persist nowadays. To address this problem, the teacher
need to be conscious on their socio-cultural background
so as to benefits everyone in the classroom.
This is problem is being addressed by the K to 12 curriculum
which has been structured by the Department of Education. It
is found in Section 5 of R.A. 10533 also known as The
Enhanced basic education Act of 2013 which states that “The
curriculum shall be contextualized and global.”
The curriculum should be flexible enough to enable and
allow schools to localized, indigenized and enhance the
curriculum based on their respective educational and social
concept.
In the context of Felix Balgos National high School, since
the students are diverse it is needed to construct a lesson
plan which would cater to their various needs as well as they
could easily relate to. It is with this case that this project
seeks to formulate a lesson Plan which is Unified between
year levels so as to solve the issue in contextualization and
integration of learning in the different subjects per year level.

BACKGROUND Present condition in the society demand adequate


AND RATIONALE education for individuals.
It is in this respect that Felix Balgos National High school
seeks to create avenues to improve the reading and writing
literacy of the students since the society in this generation
communicates through different media forms.
Furthermore, It is believed that the quality of instruction
that the teacher provide is dependent on the reading and
writing ability of the learners.

BACKGROUND It is recognized that parents plays an important role in the

school.
In addition, maximum and active parent school
involvement will promote and encourage external
stakeholders such as the LGUs, NGOs etc. to take part and
help make the school activities successful and fruitful with
great regards on students’ welfare.
However, in the context of Felix Balgos National High
School, it was observed in some instances that parents’
participation in some school related activities has become
lesser and inactive due to some factors.
It is with these realities that this project will seek
awareness to maintain the active participation of parents in
school related activities.
