Dwayne Smith from New York is one of the Powerball winners who shared the $687.8
million jackpot. He was just a regular Joe living in dire straits since he’d lost his job as a
construction worker due to a severe injury on one of his legs in a recent car crash
accident. Even more so his health insurance couldn’t cover the cost of the surgery so our
guy was in danger of never being able of working again. Apparently a quick walk to the
market inspired Dwayne to spend $3 on a Powerball lottery ticket and the gods were
smiling on him big time because he turned out to be one of the two winners of the big
jackpot.
“I never imagined I would ever win this amount of money. I will finally get surgery on
my leg and open my own construction firm. I’d like to donate a part of the winnings to a
children hospital.
