Customer statement / workshop findings

Noise on Cabriolets from:
- Windows and seals in the transition to the soft top.
- Door trim, B pillar and dashboard transition to A pillar (windscreen frame).

Technical background
Because of relative movement on the Cabriolet various kind of noises can be generated on the contact or
transition points of windows to the roof frame seals on the soft top.
The customer may not be able to place the source of the noise, but assumes they come from the door
trim or the A/B pillar.

Preventive treatment of roof frame seals.

Apply Berulub ND spray (100 ml) from the Bechem case (see TPI 2022517).
The use of Krytox spray G 052 172 A2 can cause smears on the windows.
