IV. Course Description
This three unit – course id designed for Second Year BSE and BEED Students. The course is both a review and extension of the essential content of College
Algebra and an introduction of more advanced mathematical concepts. The course includes thourough discussions on functions, variations, matrices, systems
of equations, quadratic functions, powers, inverse, exponents, logarithms, series and their applications.
V. Objectives

1. Simplify and evaluate numerical and algebraic expressions.

2. Solve single variable and multi variable equations

3. Solve and graph linear Equations and functions including systems of equations.

4. Perform all operations with rational expressions, especially complex fractions

5. Simplify expressions containing radicals and complex numbers

6. Solve problems involving matrices

7. Use the graphic calculator in support of all objectives
