FACTORS AND REASONED TO CARRY ON COLD WAR ON EUROPE

During the Cold War erupted, the two world forces did rebellious exercises, publicity,
undercover work and mental fighting through their partners (History.com, 2018). There are
numerous reasons that prompted the Cold War. The Cold War alludes to the contention
between the US-drove entrepreneur coalition and Soviet-drove socialist alliances since the
finish of World War II.

I. DIFFERENCES IN POLITICAL IDEOLOGY

Cold War is a term for a time of contention that causes strain and acoustics between the
United States and the Soviet Union and its members toward the West and East Block (Francis,
1989). Rivalry that happens in the driving rain War is the challenge of keeping up authority
in different districts by keeping up the belief system between the opposite sides, Socialism-
Communism by the Soviet Union and Liberalism-Capitalism by the United States (Ahmad,
2015).

The belief system dispersed by the United States is the comprehension of Capitalism,
which executes the Liberal Economic System that frees the market to decide the cost by the
control of the financial division by capital proprietors (Melvynn, 2002). The United States
formally underpins the world's countries to embrace a fair framework with inseparable
autonomy. The United States and the Soviet Union practicing political ideologies and
governance systems are much different from one another or opposition. The United States
fights for a democratic system that prioritizes absolute individual freedom rights such as
freedom of choice, freedom of speech, human rights, freedom of assembly and media
freedom. The United States wants the governing government to comprise the party elected by
the people through the general election (United States History, 1989).

According Syajarah (2010), while the Soviet Union dispersed Communism, which
needed a solitary, managed and shut gathering government framework, with a nation
controlled Guided Economic System, and the nation's financial strengthening. Understanding
socialism does not perceive private possession. The Soviet Union supports a socialist system
based on communist ideology. The country hosts a dictatorial rule which only recognizes the
formation of the Communist Party. In this system, the freedom of the people is very limited
that the people are not given the freedom to choose the government, assemble and voice their
opinions. This distinction causes the relationship between these forces has caused the
relationship to become strangely and finally to the Cold War (Boris, 2009).

II. DIFFERENT SYSTEM AND ECONOMIC POLICIES

Refer to Melvynn (2005), the economies of the nations, for example, Britain, France,
Germany, and Italy were seriously influenced following state incomes distributed to back the
expense of a second world war. The United States utilized this open door by offering help
and bolster assets to stifle the development of socialist philosophy. The United States at that
point built up the Marshall Plan to build up all financial Western Europe notwithstanding
controlling socialist impact. According to book United States History (1989), the United
States is championing the capitalist economic system that promotes free trade without
government intervention that the government has a very limited role in its economic
competition. This economic system gives huge profits to big capital investors as it allows
private ownership. This will increase competition among entrepreneurs as well as promote
the country's economy (Pauli, 2008).

In the meantime, the Soviet Union does not promote free economic activity because it
fears the public will be exposed to the Western economic system. The Soviet Union fears that
Western influence will threaten the totalitarian regime (Syajarah, 2010). The Soviet Union
does not encourage socialist countries to engage in international trade (Iema, 2015). The
administration will control facilitated commerce action by giving a major job to the
legislature. Through this strategy then the business is claimed and overseen by the
administration alone. The motivation behind the administration is to secure the premiums of
little speculators so as not to be mistreated by expansive capital financial specialists (Duara,
2011).

III. THE EXPANSION POLICY OF THE SOVIET UNION INFLUENCE IN

EUROPE

The Soviet Union extended its impact in Europe before the Second World War finished.
Toward the finish of 1944, the Russian socialist powers have freed and controlled the vast
majority of the nations in Eastern Europe. Russia additionally figured out how to catch East
Germany (Savira, 2011).

In the end of 1944, the Red Army (communist forces) of the Soviet Union acted to
liberate and control most of the countries in Eastern Europe under their influence (Ahmad,

2015). In the Yalta Conference, Stalin expected the West was eager to acknowledge Russian
impact in Poland however in the Potsdam Conference there was an absence of understanding
that prompted the breaking of relations between them. Russia acts to reinforce its hold on
nations in Europe. The shaped kingdoms are overwhelmed by the socialists. The Soviet
Union likewise needs to extend its impact in Western Europe (History.com, 2018).

IV. THE TIES BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND THE SOVIET UNION

According to David (2011), the relationship turned out to be more terrible after May 1945.
The strained relationship when the United States dismissed the Soviet Union's solicitation to
help build up the US economy after the finish of World War II. The relationship developed
tense when British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill held an iron shade isolating Eastern
Europe with Western Europe. This has brought about a part between Western European
nations and Eastern Europe. In the meantime, the Soviet Union made East Europe a satellite
country that served as a buffer zone between the Soviet Union and Western European
countries (United States History, 1989).

V. TRUMAN DOCTRINE

The Cold War broke out when President Harry Truman stated that all the relief
provided to the Soviet Union was stopped (Francis, 1989). In October 1945, he pointed out
that the United States did not recognize any government established without his consent. In
1946, President Harry Truman stressed that the US policy would use in any way to curb the
influence of communism. This statement is the basis of the formation of the ‘Truman
Doctrine’ which led to the US efforts to oppose the expansion of the Soviet Union and
communist ideology throughout the world. Based on this doctrine the United States provides
financial and military aid to Turkey and Greece to curb the threat of communism (David,
2011).
