Abstract. River (Estuary) is semi enclosed waters and is associated with the sea so that the
sea water with high salinity of mixed with fresh water. The meeting place of the stream with
opposing tidal currents cause a strong influence on the sedimentation brought on the stream
and rich nutrient element are caught in the water of the estuary (Nutrient trapped). In
addition to bringing the stream nutrient elements (pollutant trapped). The population in this
research is Mollusca and arthopoda in the region estuary. The method use was the line
transec. Data analysis using the formula the index of diversity, dominance index, equaty
index and the formula of the density. The research result obtained totaling 768 with devided
into 26 species. The index of diversity (H) Mollusca and Arthopoda ranged from 2.55 – 2.61.
the index ranged between domination 0,072 – 0.451. Equaty indicec ranged from 1.042 –
1.094 and density ranged between 0.268 – 0.672. Conclution that can be draw is index
diversity of Mollusca and Arthopoda in the region estuary on high level.
