For each Worship Journal, you will submit a 200–250-word summary answering the provided
questions in Blackboard.
Worship Journal 1
After watching the video presentation by Dr. Whaley on The Dynamics of Corporate Worship,
answer the following questions:

Biblical Observation
1) According to Psalm 34 and Psalm 107, our worship is genuine when we exalt the Lord.
How do you personally practice exaltation of the Lord in your own private worship? How
do you plan on exalting Him today?

Biblical Interpretation
2) The second principle for genuine worship involves edifying the saints. In your opinion,
what does this mean and how is it accomplished through a worship service?

answer the following questions:

1) The author articulates 7 “internal hindrances” to worship. What 1 or 2 scripture
references would you choose to help “protect” you and your worship ministry from
believing and/or practicing these “hindrances?”

about singing to the Lord.

2) According to our text, integration of worship and music into the fabric or DNA of God’s
people is important to a successful walk with Christ. Using the principles found in
Ephesian 5:19–20 and Colossians 3:1–17 and 23–24, explain how you will focus on the
purpose of music and worship in your life.

opinion, what does this mean, and how is it accomplished through your own private
